Fallen Log with fungus, drawer & cutaway

For this piece a mold was made from the bark of an actual fallen log (thanks Donny & Mr.Velke!) and cast in polygem onto a fiberglass reinforced concrete forming tube. Other elements were carved in foam, then reinforced with fiberglass and epoxy (note the turkey-tail fungus cast from actual specimens). Painted with vinyl acrylics, the log is approximately 6 feet long and 12" around.
