This was another project subcontracted through Color-Ad, Inc. for the National Park Service. My part of this project consisted of seven illustrations (three full-color illustrations representing the local geological history, and four black and white drawings representing turquoise bead-making techniques), and sixteen tactile models and reproductions of various artifacts and structures.
The reproductions were sculpted with epoxy clay and other materials meant to represent the following: three fossil artifacts (shark's teeth, a turtle shell fragment, and an ancient snail shell), various types of corn, bird skulls, ancient pottery, a cacao pod, various wooden tools, a cutaway model of a kiva, and a model of a pack rat in it's nest. Many Thanks again go to Heather McDade for providing me these beautiful pics of the model installed onsite!
