This is another project I subcontracted through Color-Ad, Inc. I contributed only this one tactile scale model representing a Navajo Hogan, which are native shelters found in many places around the Southwest, but in this instance we are referring to Ganado, Arizona.
Since I only produced one model for this exhibit, I decided to try and show you the entire process involved in modelmaking. From reference material, to sketches, to the various stages and changes, through the submittals, to the finished piece installed in its place in the exhibit. I hope it all makes sense and you can better understand the process. Many Thanks go to Heather McDade for providing me these beautiful pics of the model installed onsite!
