This project involved creating four 11" x 17" pen & ink illustrations to be scanned and incorporated digitally into signage intended to represent the following:
1) Life in the Layers: A schematic graphic showing canopy layers in a woodland, trees, shrubs, and ground layer of herbaceous materials, including various fauna.
2) Creature Comforts: A graphic illustrating the connection between the clumping growth habit of warm season grasses and the benefits for wildlife; including the prey-predator relationships.
3) Geology Controls: A map graphic showing the path of water through Blandy Experimental Farm.
4) Riparian Buffer: An illustration showing the essentials of a riparian buffer (a vegetated area of herbaceous and woody plant cover near a stream which helps shade and partially protect the stream from the impact of adjacent land uses).
