Baby Astrodon model
Created for M-NCPPC
This project was created for the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) for use in their outreach events associated with the Dinosaur Park located in Laurel, Maryland. The object was to make a tactile, actual sized model of a Astrodon hatchling attached to a base that is the approximate size of an adult Astrodon's footprint, giving the indication of just how much this baby will grow into adulthood.
For the first time ever for me, I've tried to document and show the entire fabrication process involved in making models like this one. Hopefully you will be able to follow it all in the slideshow above, and hopefully it's not too much to sit through. Thank You for your interest and your patience.
