Chateau-Thierry American Monument Visitor Center
Chateau Thierry, France

This was another project contracted through the fine folks at Color-Ad, Inc. of Manassas, Virginia. The Visitor Center is at the World War I Chateau-Thierry American Monument at Chateau-Thierry, France. I contributed only this one bas-relief representing the colossal sculpture that memorializes American and French allegiance on the west facade of the Monument overlooking the Marne River.

Based on shop drawings, design layouts, and pictures of the actual collossal sculpture (Thanks Donny!) and other sources, I designed and produced this bas-relief (65"H x 40.5"W x 4"D) which was constructed using plywood, polystyrene foam, fiberglass, epoxy clay, and vinyl-acrylic paints.
