This
diorama (finished size= approx. 52"H x 142.5"W
x 24"D) is meant to represent Pueblo life in the canyon.
The model (produced by Color-Ad, Inc.) shows a cross-section
of the village on the canyon floor as well as the cavates
(cliff dwellings) cut into the canyon walls. My job was
to create a three-sided background mural that tied into
the model which would give a sense of the canyon receding
into the background. I had to paint the mural at a little
less than half-size without the use of the model.
